Mario Rodriguez, President

Mario Rodriguez was born on April 26 in San Antonio, Texas, and has been a court reporter for over 18 years. He enjoys cooking, baking and outdoor grilling and always looks forward to being around his closest friends.

His travels have taken him to Paris, France; Santiago, Chile; Madrid, Spain; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Monterrey, Mexico; Seoul, South Korea; Taipei, Taiwan; and many states throughout the U.S. His most favorite vacation spot in the U.S.: Outer Banks of North Carolina (Corolla Light).

Mario enjoys the companionship and loyalty of his two English Springer Spaniels, Chester and Lexy.

Mary Foyes, Director of Operations and Finance

Mary Foyes has worked with M.A.R. Reporting Group, LLC for over three years. She handles all of the company's invoicing, payroll, budget and bookkeeping. As a seven-year veteran of the industry, she has been involved with all aspects of court reporting.

Mary enjoys boating, canoeing, fishing and traveling. She also practices the decorative art of tole painting. Her home is shared with her husband Billy and her six-year-old cat Noah. She volunteers whenever possible and cherishes time spent with her family. Be sure to ask her about her many nieces and nephews!

Karen Bevier, Director of Client Relations

Karen Bevier has worked in the court reporting industry for 18 of the last 20 years. She joined M.A.R. Reporting Group in October of 2000 and is the liaison between clients, reporters and office staff. She is responsible for all facets of customer service, including scheduling reporters, responding to client requests and conflict resolution. In 2003, she completed the requirements of the Certified Manager of Reporting Services (CMRS) program through the National Court Reporters Association.

An active musician, Karen plays clarinet in a community orchestra and saxophone in a community band. She enjoys listening to popular and classical music. She and Lew, her husband of 35 years, have two cats named Katie and Munchkin, as well as a 16-year-old Lhaso Apso named Roscoe. She enjoys spending time with her daughter Michele, son-in-law Kevin and her grandsons Andrew and Blair.

Julie Meilak, Quality Assurance Manager

Julie Meilak joined M.A.R. Reporting Group in 2003. Her roles include proofreading transcripts, assisting with billing and developing marketing materials. Although born and raised in southeastern Pennsylvania, she spent nearly two years living in Ireland. Back in the States again, she now lives with her husband and kitty Teka.

She enjoys writing and amateur photography, which go along well with her love of traveling. She has been to over half a dozen countries including Great Britain, Italy, Slovenia and Australia. She'd love to hear a travel story!

Murielle Ashelford, Finance Assistant

Murielle Ashelford has a varied background in accounting, training, sales and marketing. An employee of M.A.R. Reporting Group since February 2005, she handles all accounts receivable and assists the director of operations and finance.

Travel, sightseeing and camping are among Murielle's favorite leisure activities. Her husband works as a flight attendant, so they enjoy taking advantage of his travel perks and exploring. She is skilled at all types of needlework and is actively involved in the area Needlepoint Guild.

Jennifer Brasler, Quality Assurance Assistant

Jennifer Brasler graduated from Eastern University in May 2004 with a degree in English Writing. She has been employed by M.A.R. Reporting Group since May 2005. She is responsible for proofreading transcripts and preparing them for print.

Gladys Aslam, Production Manager

Gladys Aslam has over ten years of professional clerical experience. She has worked as an administrative assistant and a customer service representative and has an associate's degree from Tremel Business College. She joined M.A.R. Reporting Group in December 2005 and is in charge of producing and shipping transcripts.

Hailing from Warren, Ohio, Gladys now resides in Arlington with her husband. She has three children and five lovely grandchildren. She enjoys walking, listening to music, and watching Lifetime Television.

Filipe Namada, Office Assistant

Filipe began working for M.A.R. Reporting Group in January 2006. He has extensive work experience in a variety of fields and has previously worked for UPS and Ross Dress for Less. He performs a variety of general office duties and helps the company run smoothly.

Filipe is a resident of Falls Church and is an avid video game player.
